quit smoking habits

Smoking is a habit that has been around for generations, and the different cultures of the world have been practicing it for various reasons. The reason that has been most commonly cited is the Macho outlook portrayed by celebrities in Hollywood when they smoke in a movie scene and this has led many fans to adopt the habit. Some became addicted because of experimenting and curiosity, while others just love the nicotine-laden smoke. No matter what the reason why you decide to smoke, the fact is that smoking is harmful to your health in the long run and you must kick the habit. Most smokers wonder if there is a way to quit forever that comfort that they enjoy.

It is entirely possible to stop smoking. It is amazing how people do not stop smoking even after the numerous warnings they hear about the dangers that it poses. Even the packets where the cigarettes are placed have these warning signs but people still smoke. Lung cancer is one of those hazards that health experts have pointed out time and again but it just falls on deaf ears. Human beings are funny creatures, year after year millions of are spent on buying tobacco nicotine; money which could easily sustain budgetary health allocations in some countries around the world.

But also every year, more and more people are trying in vain stop the habit but in most cases are ignorance of ways on how to quit. The big multinational companies have taken advantage of all these and what we have now is a market inundated with quit-smoking aids that ideally do not work. Nicotine patches, gums, pills and sprays do not work most of the time. Studies for instance have shown that nicotine patches work only 11%of the time.

In essence, the best way to kick away this unsavory of habits is first and foremost psychological. Willpower goes a long way in determining whether your quest to stop smoking will be successful. Secondly, keep everything that has the remotest connection to smoking out of sight lighters and ashtrays will stimulate a desire in you to smoke so keep them a way. And in the line of keeping quitting as natural as possible, always keep your hands busy on constructive duties to stave off the urge to hold a cigarette.

Once you realize that stopping this bad habit actually lies with you as opposed to the fallacy that big pharmaceutical and multinational companies do, you will find that the fuss about the impossibility of quitting was all a storm in a teacup.

I am quitting smoking is there any help of free out there?

I heard of some hotline that you can inquire free patches and stuff, does any one know what this is?

I had a stroke last year, left me semi-paralyzed. It was easy quitting after 40 years of tobacco addiction.

Might be a good idea to quit BEFORE the stroke, though!

stop smoking programs
Aldouspi | July 16, 2006 | 12:14 am | Stop Smoking | No comments

stop smoking programs

There are several stop smoking programs, but for millions of smokers, for reasons that they find strange, none of these work. But I am going to tell you that none of this is really a mystery.

Smoking termination programs aren’t the answer. I know as a former smoker who has not had a cigarette in at least three years. I tried a slew of stop smoking programs, as well as nicotine gum, cigarette rationing, and switching to lighter and lighter smokes, but nothing worked for me. The reason was that stop smoking programs aren’t really the answer.

No, I am not going to pitch some fresh product, or revolutionary fresh program to end smoking. Come on, keep reading – I don’t have anything to sell you. The simple truth is the only way to stop smoking is to just discontinue. That’s it. No stop smoking programs, no incentive systems, no rules about only smoking with friends, or only smoking one day a week, or only smoking on days you sleep in or are hung over. None of this works.

Whatever stop smoking programs tell you, the thing that is hard about not smoking is the re-arranging of your social routine, not the actual nicotine cravings. It is nice to be able to grab a smoke with friends, nice to be able to take a moment to step outside and enjoy a tasty cancer stick. So, you have to be completely firm with yourself and not give an inch. The only successful stop smoking program is to tell yourself that, from now on, I will not smoke.

Don’t be too ambitious all at once. Many people suddenly get an impulse to transform every phase of their life at once, enrolling in stop smoking programs in the same week that they start exercise programs and new diet plans. This is a bad idea, and will not help you quit smoking.

The most excellent way to well and truly end smoking is to let yourself go a little in other ways. Its okay to put on a small number of pounds, its okay to have some junk food, or let your exercise routine go. If you have too many rules for yourself at once, you will lose all of them. And yes, for some people, stop smoking programs can work because they provide a support group. But remember, the only real crucial stop smoking program is your resolution to, once and for all, stop smoking.

stop smoking books

Would you like to stop smoking- but don’t believe that you can?

Would you love nothing more to be able to easily stop smoking but just not sure if its possible, do cravings seem to take over? Maybe you are worried about gaining weight as often people become concerned that they may not stay the same weight if they stop smoking? Have you tried many different approaches and nothing seems to work OR it works for just a small while and then you start smoking again…read on to find out about how our “stop smoking the personalised way” is different to many other approaches

Why our “stop smoking the personalised way”

Imagine having a programme tailored to your needs, that worked with your own personal motivations and reasons for wanting to stop smoking, even the length of the session and how the session works will be tailored just to you, imagine how great it would feel to have more energy, breath like you have never breathed before, you feel well, motivated, the cravings have stopped and you have totally forgotten about smoking for months now as you have so many more and better ways to spend your time, you can get up and down the stairs without wheezing and enjoy play time with the children whereas before you may not have had the energy too…you may even want to join the gym and start some excersing too… plus you have all this extra money spare now to spend on anything you wish!

What is our “stop smoking the personalised way”

Our programme is very different for many reasons, as soon as you book your sessions you will have contact with Claire who will have a consultation with you about your reasons and motivations for wanting to stop smoking which means that she can start to work with you before the session even starts and then tailor the type and length of session that best suits your needs. By using an eclectic and unique mixture of transformational and personal change techniques including NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Hypnotherapy, Time Line Therapy R and more ancient techniques from the sacred teachings of Ancient Hawaiian Huna, Reiki and Shamanism you will be able to unlock any causes for you smoking so as they can be resolved, meaning you are able to shift the energy and focus that once went with the behaviours of smoking for other behaviours far better for your health and wellbeing, working with your own personal desire to change and total ability to do so. You will start with your first consultation with Claire and then from this she will know how long your first session will need to be to assist you in getting the result, the support before this session and then 2 follow up sessions is all included in the price meaning you get excellent value for money

How does our “stop smoking the personalised way” work?

Have you ever attempted to “think” your way out of behaviour, habit or something you wanted to change…how did that go? Maybe it went well with sheer will power and mental force and maybe as soon as your mind wondered onto something else the behaviour was back…why is this you may ask – well the mind that we think with works differently to the mind that generates out habits and behaviours and this is also the mind responsible for all change – our Unconscious Mind. By working with your Unconscious Mind we can unlock and resolve any reasons for smoking, tap into natural will power and shift your focus and motivation towards different, new and energising behaviours, so you can start to be the change you always thought about – you can start to breath freely, feel energised and fill your time with new activities that once you maybe weren’t able to for a number of reasons. After the first sessions you will have follow-ups and also regular support to track your progress and see how you are doing!

What if you could stop smoking now?

You could start to feel lighter and energised, you can run around with your children and grandchildren without getting wheezy and tired, you may even feel like a new start in life and go to the gym, how you start to act out your day starts to change as you find new ways to spend your time when you wake up, after a meal, in the car, you have more time and more money at your disposal and you feel motivated with a new focus and outlook in life and you can breathe more easily and sleep peacefully at night knowing you have taken a fantastic step towards having your own great health and wellbeing!
