quit smoking diet

Many smokers who want to quit are overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options that are thrown at them from nicotine patches & gum to hypnotherapy and more! Cleansing your lungs may seem like just another odd home remedy which can seem old fashioned compared to expensive laser surgery and other more modern methods and while this is something you can do at home it is certainly not lacking in effect!

Not only does having a healthy set of lungs give you many health and well being benefits such as:

  • Less chance of lung cancer
  • Easier breathing
  • Get rid of smoker’s coughs
  • Better Cardio
  • Better blood circulation and more

Cleansing your lungs will also actually make you dislike cigarette smoke making it repellant to you rather than something you want and crave. This is because once you have cleaned out the tar buildups which also contain nicotine that continues to feed into your blood your body no longer tolerates such toxins whereas before it had to.

This will not happen overnight and will not completely overcome the psychological addiction of cigarettes which is where most people actually fail because they are so focused on nicotine withdrawals and cravings they forget to look at the mental side of addiction. However with a body free of the physical problems leaves you with the willpower, time and energy to focus on that part which is a big bonus.

Now, the average smoker takes about 15-20 years to finally rid their lungs of all the impurities which is a long time but cleansing your lungs with proper lung exercises, vitamins and diet changes can reduce this to less than a year if done correctly.

So, to find out how you can stave off lung cancer, shortness of breath and have your body fight for you rather than against you when quitting click below for more lung detox information.

quit smoking plan

quit smoking plan

When you’re sifting through pages on the Net looking for some tips which are going to help you stave off your smoking cravings, you come across a lot of nonsense. I’ve sifted through all the nonsense and come up with a few powerful quit smoking tips which you can easily implement which will actually help. Have a look and see if these work for you.

Quit Smoking Tip #1: Cut Back on Cigarettes Gradually

If you’re going through say a pack of cigarettes daily, don’t make big leaps like cutting your smoking in half. Set a plan in motion to cut back GRADUALLY. Try cutting out 1 cigarette a day every 3-4 days. Load up all the cigarettes you will be smoking for the day in *1* pack and have that be your sole source of cigarettes for that day. As time goes by, you will be removing 1 cigarette from this pack at a time, if in the process of utilizing this technique you feel any discomfort, distract yourself by chewing some gum or drinking some coffee.

Quit Smoking Tip #2: Tell your Friends and Family of your Quit Smoking Plan

The more people you tell about how you’re embarking on a journey to quit smoking the better. What will take place is the principle of accountability. When we feel accountable to someone to follow through with a plan of action, we are more likely to do it. The more you speak with enthusiasm and intent to those around you about your plans the more you will feel COMPELLED to follow through. When you take pride in your word being your bond and then follow through with this exercise, the accountability and responsibility factor will take affect on your psyche each time you feel the urge to cheat on your plan.

Quit Smoking Tip #3: Take it Day by Day and assess progress weekly

If you focus on quitting smoking for good, you will only overwhelm yourself. You must learn to small chunk things, try and improve little by little and set your main focus on seeing weekly progress. Every week, re-asses what you’ve done for the past 7 days. Have you cut back on the cigarettes you smoke each day? If you’re using the above method of cutting out 1 cigarette every 3-4 days, you should be assessing whether or not you are smoking 2 less cigarettes a week.

If for any reason you did not follow through or see any progress, don’t loose hope. The fact that you have a system in place and are taking affirmative action is proof enough you are moving in the right direction, it is a process. You may re-assess your plan and make for a more gradual cutback if you failed to see progress in the last week, just as long as the overall trend each week is a decrease in smoking activity.

These tips are extremely powerful, if implemented! It is not enough to read these and get a slight positive high over what you could potentially do. Take action starting NOW! Get out a pen and paper right now, yes now, and take 10 minutes to write down your own personal cutting back plan. Once you are finished, explain this plan to at least one other person, then set it in motion by getting out a cigarette pack and placing your daily allowance of cigarettes for the following day. Pack that away in your pocket and make that your ONLY source of cigarettes for the day. Get writing, there is no tomorrow, all there is, is the eternal NOW, get up and make this a reality!

stop smoking motivation
Inspiration and motivation to stop smoking…?

I’ve quit and started up again many times, I think about 7/8 times in total. I tried the patches/gum but I really think it’s down to willpower in the end, so I’d prefer not to use stopping smoking aids anymore. The problem is my life isn’t great at the moment, the main problem is I hate my job and want to leave but finding it really hard to find creative work that I studied for. I know there’s always an excuse though…If anyone has any advice or experience of this I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks
Oh, it’s so great reading your suggestions! I was going to quit tomorrow but I’ve decided on Friday (so I have time to adjust, mentally prepare). I honestly can’t wait though, I’m looking forward to it!!!!! :)

think you need a good holiday next year. look at all that money saved at not smoking

quit smoking helpline canada

It can be said that Canada is among the first countries that became fully aware of the viciousness of the smoking habit. The government has spent millions of dollars just to make the average Canadian aware of this vice and to make an effort to become a smoke-free country. Canada was one of the first countries to introduce the concept of smoke-free and smoke-restricted zones. Apart from that, Canada has led an intensive awareness program through advertising on television, radio, the print media and billboards.

If you are a Canadian citizen and want to stop smoking Canada provides you with many opportunities. The most evident are the various support centers for smoking cessation. Canadian smoking centers work with small groups of people – eight to twelve – all of whom are are different stages with their smoking habit. There are frequent meetings of these groups, where different treatment options are discussed, and people who have managed to do well in quitting their habits are lauded. This is a good morale-boosting experience and gives smokers the feeling that they are not working alone.

Smoke cessation groups belonging to the Stop Smoking Canada program are very particular about keeping up with people on their program. Apart from the regular meetings, they also follow-up with telephonic conversations. Smokers who are undergoing severe withdrawal symptoms are free to call up smoke cessation professionals, who will then guide them what they must do to keep up with the habit. Such programs are very effective and helpful to the person who is planning to quit.

Most smoking cessation programs in Canada follow the cold turkey method rather than giving up one at a time. Cold turkey methods work here only because of the tremendous support given to the smoker who wishes to quit – both by the government and by the healthcare professionals. Along with the continual therapeutic sessions, antidepressants such as Wellbutrin and Chantix are prescribed to the quitters. General guidelines to improve lifestyle are also delineated.

Even in Canada – like in the US – alternative methods for smoking cessation are used in a major way. For people who want to stop smoking Canada provides a very good range of herbal products. Most of the herbal remedies used in Canada for smoke cessation act as antidepressants as well as detoxifying agents. These help the smokers to curb their addiction as well as repair whatever damage has occurred in their body already. These herbs create distaste for nicotine in the cigarette, which is a very effective way to curb the smoking addiction.

One smoke cessation herbal remedy that is very popular in Canada is SmokeRX, a careful combination of several herbs. It is a very fast acting agent, and takes the person away from the smoking habit in a few short days itself. Most orders for SmokeRX and other herbal remedies in Canada are placed online, though quite a few of them are also readily available in stores.

Hence, there are many ways to stop smoking that Canada provides. If the smoker has determination and diligence, then there are several resources available here to come out successfully from the addiction.

Are you serious about quitting smoking? If you are, then you must try the amazing all herbal stop smoking pill which actually helps you quit in just 7 days. Guaranteed. Yes, this time you can do it. SmokeRx is the ultimate in stop smoking aids and has helped numerous people to quit the habit. Stopping smoking has never been this easy or quick. Forget nicotine patches, gum and sprays.
